April 25 (HS): On Saturday morning, in the Robertsganj Kotwali area of
Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, a car returning from a wedding ceremony
lost control, hit a divider, and overturned near Lodhi on the
Varanasi-Shaktinagar road. Three people in the car died in the accident, while
five others were seriously injured. Police admitted all of them to the Medical
College Hospital, where doctors referred the seriously injured driver to the
Trauma Center at BHU for further treatment.

Circle Officer Randhir Mishra stated that on Friday, a wedding procession had
arrived from Pauni village in the Raipur police station area, in Sasanai
village, under the Kon police station area. After the wedding, eight people
left for their homes in a Xylo car at 2 a.m. As they approached Robertsganj
Lodhi at 3:30 a.m., the driver dozed off, causing the car to lose control and
hit a divider and overturn. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene
and rushed everyone to the medical college. Doctors at the medical college
declared Jitendra Sahni (18), Dilip Paswan (20), and Nitesh Yadav (25), residents
of Sasanai village in the Kon police station area, dead. All the other injured
are being treated. The driver, Chhote Lal, has been sent to the BHU Trauma
Center for further treatment. The Robertsganj Kotwali police have sent the
bodies for post-mortem examination and have begun an investigation.
