
Dibrugarh, 23 April (HS): Punjab Police will take custody of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh, who is currently lodged in Dibrugarh Central Jail, on Thursday.
According to sources, the action is linked to the case involving the attack on a police station in Punjab’s Ajnala. The Punjab Police is set to formally re-arrest the pro-Khalistan leader in connection with the incident.
Amritpal Singh has been lodged in Dibrugarh Central Jail under stringent security arrangements. His transfer to Punjab Police custody is expected to be carried out following due legal procedures.-----------
