Guwahati, 02 April (HS): Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that the banks of the Brahmaputra River will be developed on the lines of Marine Drive in Mumbai, aiming to enhance the aesthetic and tourism potential of the region.
Gadkari made the statement while campaigning in support of BJP candidate Bijoy Gupta at Fancy Bazar in Guwahati. Addressing a public gathering, he emphasized the Central government’s commitment to infrastructure development and urban beautification in Assam.
He said that transforming the Brahmaputra riverfront into a modern, well-planned promenade similar to Mumbai’s Marine Drive would not only boost tourism but also provide improved public spaces for residents.
The Union Minister further highlighted various developmental initiatives undertaken by the government and urged voters to support BJP candidates to ensure continued progress in the state.------------
