
Lucknow, April 18 (HS): On the occasion of his birth anniversary and Jyoti
Jyoti Diwas, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid respect to Shri
Angad Dev Ji Maharaj, the second Guru of Sikhism. He praised Sikhs and urged
them to respect Sikh traditions in Uttar Pradesh, describing Guru Angad Dev Ji
as a symbol of service, compassion, and spiritual creativity. uru Angad Dev Ji
created the Gurmukhi script and linked society to the words of Guru Granth
Sahib Ji. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath frequently recalls the contributions
of Sikh Gurus and wishes the state's citizen’s happy holidays.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary
of Guru Shri Angad Dev Ji Maharaj, the second Guru of Sikhism and a great
saint, I offer my heartfelt tributes to him and heartfelt greetings to Sikh
brothers, devotees, and the people of the state. His life of sacrifice is a
unique example of service, dedication, and equality. He spread knowledge to the
masses through the development of the Gurmukhi script and, by strengthening the
langar tradition, established the culture of equality in society through
community dining. His words and teachings always inspire us to follow the path
of truth, humility, and humanity.”
