Tengnoupal (Manipur), 18 April (HS): Security forces apprehended an active cadre of the proscribed outfit KYKL (SOREPA) during an operation carried out near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur on Friday.

The arrested individual has been identified as Phanjoubam Muhindro, a resident of Andro No. 3, Khuman Leikai under Imphal East district. He was detained from the general area between Border Pillar 76 and Border Pillar 77 near the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district.

During the operation, security personnel recovered two mobile phones and an amount of 20,500 Kyats (Myanmar currency) from his possession.

The apprehended cadre and the seized items have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.-----------
