Amravati, 18 Apr (HS): Revenue Minister and Amravati’s Guardian Minister

Chandrashekhar Bawankule informed that the victim of sexual abuse in Paratwada,

who is from Nagpur is recording her statement with the police. He held

discussion with senior police officers at Amravati District (Rural)

Superintendent’s office on Saturday about the case.

Meanwhile, police have arrested eight accused so far and have seized

seven mobile phones, a hard disc and a Tab. The seized material has been referred

to the Forensic Laboratory for support the ongoing enquiry.

Bawankule, however have appealed to the people and people’s

representatives to refrain from any instigating, casteist and religious

statements which could lead to riots. The issue is serious and police are

investigating into it He also appealed to the victims to come forward to

register their complaints with the police. The accused will not be spared.
