
Mumbai, 18 Apr (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis convened a meeting of senior officers of Home Affairs
Department on Saturday and directed them to collect detailed information and
evidence relating to religious conversions, sexual abuse and atrocities against
women and to be alert of such incidents.
Fadnavis reviewed progress into the reported cases
in Nashik’s TCS, Ashok Kharat case and Amravati’s Paratwada. Evidence which
would stand in the court of law at any stage must be collected and the guilty
can be inflicted harshest punishment.
Fadnavis appealed to the victims to register their
complaints with the police without any fear or pressure and cooperate with the
investigating officers. The incidents are of serious concern and associated
with the future of the youth.
