Kirori Mal College clinched the men's category title of the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament, organized at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College of Delhi University on Tuesday night.
The final match proved intensely thrilling, extending into extra time. Ultimately, Kirori Mal College defeated the host Khalsa College by a razor-thin margin of 79-78 to claim the championship.
Dev Kapoor of Kirori Mal College was adjudged 'Man of the Match' for his stellar performance in the final, while Hardik Sharma of Khalsa College received the 'Player of the Tournament' award for his outstanding contribution throughout the event.
South Campus Director Prof. Rajni Abbi graced the prize distribution ceremony as chief guest. Joining her were Delhi Basketball Association President Mukesh Kalia, PSPB Advisor Lalit Vats, DBA General Secretary Ashok Ranguin, and DUSC Assistant Director Dr. Sushil Kumar.
College Principal Prof. Gurmohinder Singh and DPE Dr. Inderpreet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
The tournament was organized with the support of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and Ayuth Veda, with live coverage provided by 'Indian Live Sports Hub'.
