Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound gratitude to farmers on the occasion of various festivals being celebrated across the nation.

He stated that amidst these occasions brimming with enthusiasm and jubilation, the nation stands indebted to those industrious farmer brothers and sisters who sustain the entire country.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi shared a Sanskrit subhashita on social media platform X to underscore the farmers' invaluable contribution. He wrote: “इत्थं फलति शुद्धेन सिक्तं सङ्कल्पवारिणा। पुण्यबीजमपि स्वल्पं पुंसां कृषिकृतामिव॥”

Elucidating the subhashita's essence, the Prime Minister remarked that just as a small seed sown by a farmer yields an abundant harvest when duly irrigated at the right time, likewise, a pure resolve and earnest endeavor can transform even a modest beginning into monumental success.

In his message, the Prime Minister reiterated that during this season of festivals observed in diverse regions of the country, it is imperative to remember farmers' toil and accord them due reverence.
