Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that the supply of LPG, petrol, and diesel in the capital is fully normal, stable, and sufficient.She clarified that all LPG agencies and bottling plants in Delhi have an adequate stock of cylinders and that uninterrupted distribution is being ensured.
At present, around 1.25 lakh LPG cylinders are being delivered every day, which is in line with normal demand, while the average delivery time remains at four to five days.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that the supply mechanism is under continuous monitoring so that consumers do not face any inconvenience or shortage.
Domestic LPG consumers’ requirements are being accorded the highest priority.
Consumers are being encouraged to book LPG refills through digital channels such as SMS, IVR, WhatsApp, and online portals.To ensure transparency and security in the delivery process, an OTP‑based delivery authentication system has been introduced, under which more than 90 per cent of deliveries are being verified daily.
The Chief Minister explained that under the FTL (Free Trade LPG) scheme, 5‑kg LPG cylinders have been made available at gas agencies for migrant workers.These cylinders can be obtained by presenting valid identity proof.
In addition, special camps and outreach drives are being conducted in all districts, with the cooperation of the respective District Magistrates, Sub‑Divisional Magistrates, and Food Supply Officers.
At these camps, representatives of gas agencies are present to provide 5‑kg cylinders to those in need and to offer necessary assistance.
According to the Chief Minister, the State‑Level Coordinator (Delhi) and DGMS‑Retail of HPCL, Bany Singh, have said that oil marketing companies are actively responding to consumers’ feedback and complaints.
Wherever complaints have been received about black‑marketeering, hoarding, diversion, or any other irregularities by a distributor, special teams have been deployed in coordination with the Delhi Police and the Food and Civil Supplies Department to take strict action.So far, more than 540 raids have been conducted, over 2,027 cylinders have been seized, and 44 FIRs have been registered.
A central control room has also been set up in the Food and Civil Supplies Department at Vikas Bhawan to ensure the swift redressal of consumer complaints.
The Chief Minister has appealed to consumers to ignore rumours, avoid panic bookings or unnecessary stockpiling, and place their trust only in official sources of information.She has assured the public that LPG, petrol, and diesel continue to be adequately available across the country and that there is no shortage at present.
