Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan at the Vice President’s House on Tuesday and conveyed his greetings on the auspicious occasion of Puthandu.

Vice President Radhakrishnan wrote on X that he was delighted to meet Prime Minister Modi and exchange greetings on the auspicious occasions of Tamil Puthandu and Baisakhi. He said they also wished for happiness, peace and the welfare of all in the year ahead. He added that they discussed how Tamil Puthandu reflects the wisdom of the ancestors and brings together tradition, family, spirituality and a disciplined way of life. He noted that these New Year celebrations, observed across the country at the same time, remind the nation of its cultural richness and diversity while also highlighting the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

Prime Minister Modi also wrote on X that he had met Vice President Thiru C.P. Radhakrishnan and extended greetings to him on the special occasion of Puthandu. He prayed for good health and a year filled with happiness in the days ahead.
