Hooghly, 12 April (H.S.): Amid the ongoing election campaign in the Pursurah Assembly constituency of Hooghly district, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a major show of strength on Sunday under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. A grand roadshow and public meeting held in support of party candidate Biman Ghosh witnessed a massive turnout, heating up the political atmosphere in the region.

From early morning, large numbers of BJP workers and supporters gathered across different parts of Pursurah. The roadshow, marked by party flags, banners, and traditional drums, created a festive environment as it passed through key roads of the constituency, drawing significant public attention and participation.

Addressing the gathering, Rekha Gupta questioned the performance of the state government, stating that while promises of development have been made for years, the ground reality tells a different story. She urged voters to support the BJP in favor of change.

BJP candidate Biman Ghosh also addressed the सभा, assuring people of development in the region. He said that if elected, priority would be given to improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare services in Pursurah.
