Vidya Bharati Students Excel in Assam HSLC Results, Jyotirmay Das Tops State
Guwahati, 10 April (HS): Students of Vidya Bharati-affiliated institutions delivered an outstanding performance in the Assam HSLC Examination 2026, with Jyotirmay Das of Sankardev Sishu Niketan, Patacharkuchi securing the first rank in the state.

Guwahati, 10 April (HS): Students of Vidya Bharati-affiliated institutions delivered an outstanding performance in the Assam HSLC Examination 2026, with Jyotirmay Das of Sankardev Sishu Niketan, Patacharkuchi securing the first rank in the state.

The achievement has brought pride to his school and the entire Vidya Bharati network. Schools under Vidya Bharati operate in Assam through Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam and in the Barak Valley and Dima Hasao regions through Shiksha Vikas Parishad, South Assam. Currently, 576 schools across the state are providing value-based education in the mother tongue.

According to Prantiyo Prachar Sanyojak Mukuteswar Goswami, a total of 10,375 students from 403 schools appeared in this year’s HSLC examination. Among them, 5,623 students secured First Division, 3,546 obtained Second Division, and 516 passed in Third Division. Additionally, 1,333 students achieved letter marks, while 383 students secured distinction.

Highlighting the overall performance, 164 schools recorded a 100% pass rate, while 17 schools saw all their students pass with First Division.

Vidya Bharati institutions have maintained a strong track record of academic excellence while promoting Assam’s cultural and linguistic heritage. Over the past two decades, eight students from these institutions have secured the top position in the state HSLC examinations.

The organization focuses on holistic development from primary to university level through its Panchapadi teaching methodology and effective implementation of the National Education Policy.

Senior functionaries including Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Prof. Ganga Prasad Parsai, Dr. Jagadindra Raychaudhuri, Kulendra Kumar Bhagawati, Jagannath Rajbanshi, Mahesh Bhagwat, Niharendu Dhar, and Dr. Dipankar Paul congratulated the successful students and wished them a bright future.

In previous years as well, Vidya Bharati students have secured top ranks in the state, including Hridyam Thakuria (2023), Meghashree Bora (2019), Md. Sarfaraz Hussain (2016), Gyanadeep Sharma and Stuti Khound (2012), Prakashjyoti Kalita (2011) and Jugal Talukdar (2010).-----------
