New Delhi, 08 March (H.S.): In a significant step towards women’s empowerment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type‑5 quarters in Sarojini Nagar and handed over house keys to women allottees, congratulating them on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

During the visit, the Prime Minister interacted with the women beneficiaries as well as the women workers involved in the construction of the complex, listening to their experiences and suggestions. He praised their contribution and underlined that the government is continuously working to ensure empowerment and dignity for women through policy, infrastructure, and targeted welfare initiatives.

PM Modi also inspected the residential campus, reviewed the quality of construction, and took stock of the facilities provided to the new residents, reflecting the government’s push for modern, secure, and well‑equipped housing for Central government employees.

Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal was present on the occasion, underscoring the project’s importance within the broader urban development and housing agenda.
