
New Delhi, 08 March (H.S.): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off an exhilarating All-Women Bike Rally at Connaught Place today, marking International Women’s Day with a powerful display of feminine fortitude and empowerment.
In a post on X, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla hailed the enthusiastic participation of a large contingent of women, who roared onto the streets embodying courage, self-confidence, and the essence of women’s empowerment. He reflected on India’s women providing inspirational and robust leadership from the freedom struggle to the nation’s reconstruction across every domain, while today steering the vision of a developed India through decisive roles from panchayats to Parliament. Birla extended heartfelt International Women’s Day greetings to all citizens.
Chief Minister Gupta echoed this sentiment on X, noting that hundreds of women representing diverse fields united on the roads to proclaim that Nari Shakti is the true driving force behind a Viksit Bharat. She described their zeal and assurance as a vivid glimpse of a transforming India, where women lead in every sphere and forge new milestones.
