Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will address the Central Industrial Security Force's (CISF) 57th Raising Day ceremony as chief guest in Mundali, Odisha, today, alongside inaugurating key forensic and policing infrastructure.Per the Home Ministry, Shah will lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) permanent campus in Bhubaneswar, virtually inaugurate its transit facility, and perform 'Bhumi Pujan' for the adjacent Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
The events will draw Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi, Home Secretary, NFSU's founding Vice-Chancellor, and dignitaries. Shah will also remotely unveil police station buildings, command-control centers, and other facilities under Home Ministry initiatives to bolster police infrastructure.
MoUs with IIT Bhubaneswar and Rashtriya Raksha University will be signed, fortifying Odisha's forensic ecosystem on 40 acres donated by the state. The transit campus launches three programs: MSc Forensic Science, MSc Digital Forensics & Information Security, and LLM Cyber Law & Cybercrime Investigation.
