Mumbai, 31 Mar (HS): A British National working with

Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) was found dead in his room at Mumbai’s

Trident Hotel. Identified as Ian Williams Langford, he was working as Broadcast

Engineer. He was 76. Marine Drive Police are investigating into the case of his

death.

Ian was staying in the room since March 24 in

connection with the IPL matches. On March 29 he returned to his room after the

match was over. He did not respond to a call from the Reception Counter and

service staff on March 30. Upon opening the door with master key he was found

lying on the floor. On examination doctor declared him dead, Marine Drive

Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating

further.

The post-mortem reports was received on Tuesday.

Nothing suspicious was found in the report, Deputy Commissioner of Police

Pravin Munde said.
