March (HS): Every year, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announces
the School Chalo Abhiyan to promote basic education throughout the
state and secure 100% enrollment. The program strives to guarantee that
students, particularly those from poor backgrounds, are enrolled in government
schools. It normally begins in April, with the commencement of the new
semester. The goal is to achieve 100% enrollment in Basic Education Council
schools and to return dropout children to school.
New
Session 2026-27: A special drive is being held from April 1, 2026 to April 15,
2026.
Facilities:
Government schools give free books, uniforms, backpacks, and midday food.
Appeal to
parents: The Chief Minister has urged parents to secure admission for their
children as well as the disadvantaged youngsters in their community.
Motivating
children on the new academic session, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath said that the government is ensuring that no child is deprived of
education through the 'School Chalo Abhiyan'. He also called upon children to
use technology properly and parents to help deprived children reach school.

school (Uttarakhand), from where I got the basic education and values of life
and the path ahead was paved. He said, School is not just a place
of study, but it is the first school for personality development.
Yogi
Adityanath said, Their Gurukul was the first step towards Lord Shri Ram's
ideal form as Maryada Purushottam and Lord Shri Krishna's Karmayogi form as Karmayogi.
He said, For all of you too, education is an integral part of this path
of duty. By adopting the principles of Swami Vivekananda in your life, you can
achieve even impossible goals with hard work and positive thinking.
Motivating children to use technology properly, the Chief Minister said,
Today is the age of technology, so learn to use it properly. Instead of
'screen time,' focus on 'activity time,' and play and study a lot.

the subjects, sports, and school activities of your choice and fulfill your
dreams. The government is ensuring that not a single child is deprived of
education. The 'School Chalo Abhiyan', running from April 1, 2026, to April 15,
2026, is the result of this commitment. The goal of a 'developed Uttar Pradesh'
will be achieved only when every child studies and every child grows.
