Lucknow,

30 March (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 69,804

Anganwadis in the auditorium of Lok Bhavan on Monday. Distribution of smartphones to workers and

head servants and appointment letters were given to 18,440 Anganwadi workers

and assistants. On this occasion, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone

for 702 Anganwadi centers and 71 Child Development Project office buildings to

be constructed at a cost of Rs. 137 crore.

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that if the newborn is

well-nourished and the mother is healthy, India's future is strong. The

double-engine government has taken numerous steps to achieve this over the past

nine years. Previously, 150,000 children who were malnourished have become

well-nourished.

The Chief

Minister said, The double engine government is working rapidly. We are

strengthening the foundation of Anganwadi centres. The future of India is

improving. The pleasant results are in front of everyone. Earlier, the liquor

mafia used to distribute nutrition. The things given were not edible. Those who

gave the contract raise slogans today. Earlier, the mafia had dominance in the

government. Today, jobs are being given without paying any money. Was this

possible before 2017? Had the previous government been there, jobs would not

have been available. At that time, both recommendation and money were used.

Earlier, slips and expenses were prevalent. The rights of the poor were

robbed.”

Yogi said

that those born with a silver spoon cannot see the suffering of the poor. They

will give speeches on stage, but they cannot connect with that suffering.

Before 2017, both recommendations and money were important; these people used

to bargain with the state. The Chief Minister said that this is a much-awaited

program and I have been telling the department that every Anganwadi worker

should have a smartphone. We do not get real-time data on the hard work of our

women workers, due to which our ranking remains low due to the lack of data

upload. Therefore, providing these smartphones is necessary. Today I am happy

to make them proficient. Smartphone distribution is being organized in every

district. On this occasion, Women, Child Development and Nutrition Minister

Baby Rani Maurya, Minister of State Pratibha Shukla, Mayor Sushma Kharwal, MLA

Dr. Neeraj Shukla, MLA Yogesh Shukla and MLC Ramchandra Pradhan, MLC Mukesh

Sharma, MLC Lalji Prasad Nirmal were present.
