Lucknow, 29

March (HS): Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar

Pradesh government is providing new opportunities for youth in the field of

skill development. Under the direction of Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State

(Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and

Entrepreneurship, the grand India Skills National Competition

2025-26 is being organized in Greater Noida.

Organized

under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

(MSDE) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of

India, this is the country's largest skills competition, with over 650

participants from 36 states and union territories. Participants will showcase

their proficiency in 63 different skills.

The

opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, at the auditorium of Gautam Buddha

University, Greater Noida. The competitions will then be held from March 30 to

April 1 in Halls 9 to 12 of the India Expo Mart, with the closing ceremony on

April 2, 2026.

Minister

Kapil Dev Agarwal said that Uttar Pradesh is becoming a leading state in the

country in the field of skill development. Events like the IndiaSkills

National Competition provide youth with a national and international

platform to showcase their talents. He added that the Yogi government's goal is

to empower youth not to be job seekers but to be job creators, and the Skill

Development Mission is continuously working towards this end.

During the

competition, special sessions will be held on topics such as robotics, green

skills and future employment, in which global companies such as FANUC, FESTO,

Autodesk and DMG Mori will share their experiences.

Before

this national level competition, the participants from Uttar Pradesh also

performed excellently in the regional competitions held in various states, in

which many participants brought laurels to the state by winning medals. The

youth, educational institutions and training centres of the state have been

appealed to actively participate in this event, so that more and more youth can

take advantage of this platform of skill development and contribute in building

a self-reliant India.
