efforts of Yogi Government, state has become major hub for national skill
activities
Over 650
participants from across the country will showcase their skills in 63 skills,
with global companies sharing their experiences

March (HS): Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar
Pradesh government is providing new opportunities for youth in the field of
skill development. Under the direction of Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State
(Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and
Entrepreneurship, the grand India Skills National Competition
2025-26 is being organized in Greater Noida.
Organized
under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
(MSDE) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of
India, this is the country's largest skills competition, with over 650
participants from 36 states and union territories. Participants will showcase
their proficiency in 63 different skills.
The
opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, at the auditorium of Gautam Buddha
University, Greater Noida. The competitions will then be held from March 30 to
April 1 in Halls 9 to 12 of the India Expo Mart, with the closing ceremony on
April 2, 2026.
Minister
Kapil Dev Agarwal said that Uttar Pradesh is becoming a leading state in the
country in the field of skill development. Events like the IndiaSkills
National Competition provide youth with a national and international
platform to showcase their talents. He added that the Yogi government's goal is
to empower youth not to be job seekers but to be job creators, and the Skill
Development Mission is continuously working towards this end.
During the
competition, special sessions will be held on topics such as robotics, green
skills and future employment, in which global companies such as FANUC, FESTO,
Autodesk and DMG Mori will share their experiences.
Before
this national level competition, the participants from Uttar Pradesh also
performed excellently in the regional competitions held in various states, in
which many participants brought laurels to the state by winning medals. The
youth, educational institutions and training centres of the state have been
appealed to actively participate in this event, so that more and more youth can
take advantage of this platform of skill development and contribute in building
a self-reliant India.
