Ramgiri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple to be developed

Nalgonda, 27 March (HS): Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday said the Ramgiri Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Nalgonda district will be developed with improved facilities to handle the increasing number of pilgrims.

The Minister visited the temple on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami celebrations and presented silk clothes for the celestial wedding ceremony of Sri Sita Rama held at the temple, popularly known as Ramagiri Ramalayam.

Speaking to reporters after attending the ceremony, he said a development plan has been prepared to strengthen infrastructure and improve facilities for devotees visiting the temple.

According to the Minister, the proposals include construction of Vaikuntha Dwaram and Uttara Dwara Darshanam and widening of darshan routes to manage pilgrim movement more effectively.

He said land acquisition required for the proposed works is currently under process and registration formalities are expected to be completed within about a month. Development works are likely to begin after completion of these procedures.

Venkat Reddy said the focus of the project would be on providing better amenities for devotees while ensuring that temple lands are protected.

Officials said the temple has been witnessing increasing footfall during major festivals, particularly Sri Rama Navami, prompting the need for improved infrastructure and visitor facilities.
