to empower youth with modern and employment-oriented skills
Lucknow,
25 March (HS): A high-level review meeting was held with departmental officials
at the Main Building, Uttar Pradesh Secretariat, Lucknow, chaired by Kapil Dev
Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill
Development, and Entrepreneurship. The meeting discussed in detail the role and
strategies of skill development to achieve the state's goal of becoming a
trillion-dollar economy.
While
reviewing the progress of departmental schemes, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal
directed the officials to ensure timely and effective implementation of all the
schemes, so that maximum employment opportunities can be provided to the youth.
The
meeting specifically discussed the empowerment of industrial training
institutes, modern training models, and industry-based skill development in
collaboration with Tata Technologies. The Minister stated that training the
state's youth according to industrial demand is a top priority for the
government, so they can gain better employment opportunities.
On this
occasion, representatives from Deloitte gave a detailed presentation on the
need for future-oriented skills, new technologies and training in accordance
with the changing industrial scenario. Minister Agarwal said that empowering
the youth by giving a new direction to skill development and preparing trained
human resources for industries is an important step towards making the state a
trillion dollar economy. He directed the officials to innovate, upgrade
technology and establish better coordination with the industries. He said that
the Yogi government is continuously working to make the youth self-reliant and
through skill development, the economic progress of the state is being given a
new impetus.
