
Nagaon (Assam), 25 March (HS): In a crackdown ahead of the ensuing elections, Samaguri Police launched an operation against illegal ganja trade and apprehended one person during the operation.
The operation was carried out at Bormah area in Samaguri based on specific intelligence inputs. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, police conducted a search operation and successfully detained the suspected trafficker.
The arrested individual has been identified as Kumud Ali. Police sources informed that he is suspected to be involved in ganja smuggling activities in the region.
Meanwhile, police have continued interrogation of the accused to gather further information regarding the network and possible links associated with the illegal trade.--------
