New Delhi, 24 March (H.S.):

Patiala House Court sentenced Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi chief of banned terror outfit Dukhtaran-e-Millat to life imprisonment Tuesday in a terror funding case alongside 30-year terms for aides Sofi Fehmiida and Nahida Nasreen pronounced by Special Judge Chander Jeet Singh.

Convicted January 14 under sedition conspiracy terror charges including IPC Sections 120B 121 121A 124A 153A 153B 505 and UAPA Sections 18 20 39 the trio faced April 2020 FIRs for hate speeches inciting enmity in Jammu Kashmir with NIA registering cases April 2018 against the group court taking cognizance December 6 2018.

NIA alleged the accused sought foreign aid to undermine Indias sovereignty notably celebrating March 23 2018 as Pakistan Day where Andrabi declared subcontinent Muslims Pakistani by faith prophet loyalty alongside singing the national anthem aiming to wage war against unity.
