London, 23 March (H.S.):
Manchester City delivered a masterclass Sunday at Wembley, shutting out Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final to claim their ninth title and first silverware in two years.
Nico O'Reilly stole the show in the second half, bagging a quickfire brace to sink the league-leading Gunners, who came in as heavy favorites but faded badly.
Pep Guardiola's masterminding now marks his fifth Carabao triumph – most ever – eclipsing Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough.
The first half stayed goalless and cagey. City ramped up post-break; in the 60th they pounced on keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga's fumble as O'Reilly nodded into an empty net.
Four minutes on Nunes whipped in from the right; O'Reilly powered home another header to make it 2-0 and seal it.
Arsenal frustration boiled over with Ben White's booking for a foul. A late Gabriel strike cannoned off the bar but City held firm.
Bernardo Silva hoisted the trophy amid roaring City fans; most Arsenal supporters had already streamed out. After a trophyless 2025 City proved they're still trophy hunters supreme.
