Jammu, 21 March (H.S.): Two persons were injured after a tractor and a car collided head-on at Tanda area of Akhnoor here today, officials said.

The injured have been identified as Mustafa Ahmed (45), son of Mohammad Bashir of Surankote in Poonch, and Balbinder Singh (40), son of Suram Singh of Pallanwala in Jammu.

According to officials, the accident took place when a tractor travelling from Tanda towards Akhnoor collided with a Swift car coming from Jammu towards Surankote.

Both the injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Akhnoor and later referred to Government Medical College Jammu, where their condition is stated to be stable.

Police have registered a case under FIR number 63/2026 under sections 281 and 125 BNS at Police Station Akhnoor and started further investigation into the matter.
