Guwahati, 20 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday asserted that five assembly constituencies in Guwahati are among the safest for the BJP in the upcoming elections.

Addressing the media, Sarma said there is no dissatisfaction within the party regarding the distribution of tickets in these constituencies. He emphasized that both senior leaders who received tickets and those who did not are extending full support to the party candidates.

The Chief Minister further stated that senior leaders including Siddhartha Bhattacharya and Atul Bora will bless and support the candidates. He added that he has personally spoken to both leaders over the phone.

Sarma acknowledged that there were some immediate reactions following the ticket allocation, but clarified that the situation has now been resolved and there are no issues within the party.-----------
