Mathura, 20

March (HS): Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, stated on Friday that

when medical research is devoted to the welfare of people, it becomes a vehicle

for reconstructing lives. Patel was speaking during the opening ceremony for a

new cancer block at the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama Charitable Hospital in

Vrindavan. President Droupadi Murmu opened the facility earlier in the day. The

governor described Vrindavan an epitome of service and compassion, pointing out

that the Ramakrishna Mission has been implementing Swami Vivekananda's ideal of

service to man is service to God for 118 years, according to a

release from the UP Jan Bhavan. She stated that the institution's

transformation from a tiny service facility to a 400-bed multi-specialty

hospital exemplifies the monumental nature of service.

Patel is

certain that the new oncology block would serve a substantial number of people.

She also recognized the services of monks, physicians, nursing staff, health

workers, and benefactors to the initiative. According to Patel, the health and

safety of a state's population determine its advancement, and a healthy society

is the foundation of an empowered nation. She described the improvement of

healthcare services as the foundation of holistic development, and stated that

both the federal and state governments are always working to improve medical

education and health infrastructure. The governor emphasized that the budget

provided appropriate funding for new medical colleges and seat expansion.

She also

mentioned projects like Ayushman Bharat, Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana, and

the National Rural Health Mission. She hoped that hospitals would grow into

human empathy centers where people might find comfort from

sickness, anxiety, and uncertainty. Patel urged the people to help create a

culture in which everyone has access to healthcare and where service, compassion,

and humanity are at the heart of what they do. Those attending were Uttar

Pradesh Sugarcane Development Minister Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary, Minister of

State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, and Vice

President of Ramakrishna Math Swami Vimalatmananda Maharaj.
