Pune, 20 Mar (HS):

UBT Sena leader Sushama Andhare has demanded immediate removal of Rupali

Chakankar, Chairperson of Maharashtra Women’s Commission, and enquiry into her

links with Captain Ashok Kharat.

Andhare said Chakankar’s

video performing puja of Kharat has come to the fore. She also alleged

Chakankar of performing witchcraft by cutting her finger on Somwati Amavasya.

Andhare supported her claim by showing photographs.

Allegations from

various quarters against Chakankar are making rounds in the political circles.

Rohit Pawar spoke

about many people connected to Kharat visiting Late DCM Ajit Pawar’s residence

on January 27, a day before Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash. Rohit Pawar however

denied the suspicion of witchcraft to Ajit Pawar’s death.

Meanwhile,

Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel said action in this connection

will be taken. He and another NCP leader Sunil Tatkare have expressed

discontent over discussion about the issue.

Rupali Chakankar

belongs to NCP (Ajit Pawar) group.

Chakankar is said to

be not reachable for her comments.
