March (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, during
the Janata Darshan program held at his residence on Monday,
listened with utmost sensitivity to the problems of citizens from various
districts of the state. The Deputy Chief Minister assured those present that
the government is committed to providing justice and the benefits of public
welfare schemes to every eligible person. During the Janata
Darshan, the Deputy Chief Minister specifically addressed the problems of
women and those suffering from serious illnesses. Shanti Devi, wife of Laxman
Kumar, a resident of Sambhal district, spoke with the District Magistrate and
received instructions regarding widow pension. Health and Treatment: Kamala
Devi of Lucknow requested an Ayushman Card, and Sarita Seth of Varanasi
requested financial assistance for the treatment of an incurable disease like
cancer. He ordered officials to take action on these issues.
Housing
Scheme: Sandhya (wife of Amit Kumar) from Firozabad requested for a house under
the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Administrative Proactiveness and Telephone
Instructions: Taking a firm stance on the delay in resolving public complaints,
the Deputy Chief Minister spoke on the spot with senior officials of the
concerned districts over the phone. He directed the District Magistrates of
Bulandshahr, Pratapgarh, Shamli, Ambedkar Nagar, Mirzapur, Ghaziabad, Ayodhya,
and Farrukhabad to ensure timely disposal of pending cases. Furthermore, in
matters related to law and order, he directed the Superintendents of Police of
Sambhal, Rae Bareli, Badaun, Lalitpur, and Chitrakoot to conduct impartial
investigations and take effective action. Deputy Chief Minister Maurya stated,
Quick resolution of public problems is our priority. Negligence at any
level will not be tolerated. Officials should ensure that poor and helpless
people do not have to run around government offices.
