Bhubaneswar, 16 March (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday congratulated noted Odia poet Girija Kumar Baliarsingh for being selected for the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award for 2025 for his poetry collection Padapuran.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the poet for the honour. He said the recognition would further strengthen the identity of Odia literature at the national level.

Majhi noted that Baliarsingh’s achievement has brought pride to the state and highlighted the richness of Odia literary tradition across the country.

The Chief Minister also prayed to Jagannath for the poet’s bright future and wished him continued success and progress in his literary journey.
