
Bhubaneswar, 12 March (H.S.): A major fire broke out at Tarini Market near Kalinga Studio Square in the Bharatpur area late on Wednesday night, causing extensive damage to several shops and triggering panic in the locality.
According to preliminary information, the fire erupted between 12:00 am and 12:30 am and quickly spread across the market area. More than 15 shops were gutted in the blaze, resulting in substantial loss of property.
Upon receiving the alert, fire services personnel rushed to the spot and immediately launched an operation to douse the flames. After sustained efforts, firefighters managed to bring the situation under control. However, by the time the fire was contained, several shop structures had already been severely damaged.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Officials said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and all possible angles are currently being examined.
