West Bengal, 01 March (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Parivartan Yatra' is underway across the state in preparation for the assembly elections. At a public meeting held at Rasmela Maidan in Cooch Behar on Sunday, BJP National President Nitin Nabin strongly raised issues such as alleged corruption in education and employment, bribery, allegations against Trinamool leaders, and infiltration. He also spoke at length about the need for a BJP government in Bengal.
Nitin Nabin said that the time has come to expel the infiltrators who have been given a place in Bengal. He alleged that court permission is required for Kali Puja, but exemptions are granted during Namaz, reflecting appeasement politics. He said that Bengal needs to be freed from this mentality.
He alleged that the Supreme Court can be approached at midnight to protect infiltrators, but the administration remains asleep when the mothers and sisters of the state are oppressed. He claimed that the names of over 5 million infiltrators have been removed from the list, and the administration has acknowledged that this was affecting the rights of Indian citizens.
The BJP president alleged corruption in almost every government scheme in the state. He said that employment schemes are being implemented in Bihar and assistance has been provided to millions of women, but there are no allegations of corruption there. Meanwhile, in Bengal, Trinamool leaders are extorting money from the funds meant for the schemes.
Nitin Nabin said that there have been incidents of Trinamool MPs insulting Vande Mataram in Parliament. He claimed that only the chanting of Vande Mataram will bring Bengal new freedom.
At the end of the meeting, Nitin Nabin said that the power of the vote must be demonstrated to remove the Trinamool government from power. He said, We will celebrate Holi once on the 4th and then celebrate the Holi of victory after the election results are declared.
Through this BJP rally, the party has clearly indicated that it will adopt an aggressive electoral strategy in the upcoming elections, focusing on issues like infiltration, corruption, and appeasement.
