
Guwahati, 01 March (HS): The second phase of the ‘Samay Paribartanor’ Yatra of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee entered Dibrugarh district on Sunday under the leadership of its President Gaurav Gogoi, covering Naharkatia, Duliajan and Tingkhong constituencies.
The programme began with Gogoi offering prayers at Raidongia Namghar in Naharkatia, followed by a padayatra and bike rally. Addressing gatherings, he reiterated the party’s commitment to building a “New Greater Assam” and improving education, healthcare and women’s empowerment, including direct benefit transfers to eligible women without political conditions.
During the yatra, the Congress team interacted with members of the Ghinai Baptist Christian community, visited local religious institutions, and held discussions with Oil India Limited employees, traders and farmers. Several senior party leaders, including Opposition Leader Debabrata Saikia and MP Pradyut Bordoloi, accompanied the yatra, which will continue in Tinsukia district on Sunday.----------
