Feb (HS): Four Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) were signed on Friday, the
first day of the Advantage Vidarbha 2026 industrial festival. Major among the
four MoUs was with Mahindra and Mahindra Limited with the State Government for
investing Rs 15,000 crore in Nagpur.
Advantage
Vidarbha Khasdar Audyogik Mahosav, a brain child of Union Minister Nitin
Gadkari was inaugurated in Nagpur on Friday.
Mahidra and
Mahindra will invest the money in phases over the next ten years, with actual
production expected to start in 2028. As a part of the project, an automobile
facility will be established in Nagpur comprising automobile, electric vehicles
and tractor manufacturing units. About 1,500 acres of land will be acquired in
Nagpur for the project. In addition a supplier park will be developed over 150
acres of land in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

of Mahindra and Mahindra stated that Maharashtra offers a very conducive
environment for industries, with the State Government and local people being
industry-friendly and ambitious. He also appreciated the support extended by
the President of the Association of Industrial Development. He expressed
gratitude towards Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin
Gadkari.
In his
address Fadnavis praised the Association of Industrial Development under the
leadership of Ashish Kale and expressed satisfaction over such a large scale
investment in the Vidarbha region.
