


New Delhi, 06 February (H.S.): Tata Group-owned Air India inaugurated its new Maharaja Lounge at Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3 on Friday. Spanning nearly 16,000 square feet, the lounge can accommodate approximately 300 passengers across its Business and First Class sections.
In a statement posted on X, Air India announced that it has launched its first flagship Maharaja Lounge at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Terminal-3, setting a new benchmark in premium ground experiences.The airline revealed that the 16,000 square foot lounge has been designed in line with Air India's new brand philosophy, striking a perfect balance between heritage-inspired elegance and modern luxury.
It features expansive Business and exclusive First Class sections, along with thoughtfully designed spaces such as the Aviator Bar, Globetrotter Study, Crystal Bar, Serenity Area, First Class Sleep Suites, and panoramic tarmac views.Conceived by Hirsch Bedner Associates, the lounge showcases deep connections to India's cultural heritage while offering superior dining, personalized beverage experiences, and a comfortable ambiance.
The company stated that eligible guests will gradually gain access starting February 16, 2026.Air India emphasized that the Maharaja Lounge is the first among several modern lounges planned for rollout at airports across India and worldwide, reflecting the airline's unwavering focus on elevating customer experience.
Airline CEO Campbell Wilson remarked that this represents an exciting time for Air India, with transformations visible not only onboard aircraft but also at airports this year. This is an exciting time, and I believe the new Air India is gradually coming into view, Wilson stated. He described the new Delhi Airport lounge as a significant milestone in the airline's transformation journey.
