
Jorhat (Assam), 06 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday distributed ₹10,000 seed capital to women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA) in Dergaon and Titabar assembly constituencies.
In Dergaon, 31,895 women received the assistance to start or expand small income-generating activities, while in Titabar, 35,461 women entrepreneurs were provided the same support to strengthen their livelihoods.
With this distribution, a total of 27,77,899 women across 111 assembly constituencies in Assam have benefited under the MMUA scheme, aimed at promoting self-reliance and women-led entrepreneurship at the grassroots level. -----------
