27 Feb (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath routinely recognizes
Nanaji Deshmukh's efforts to rural self-reliance and social service, with a
focus on his work in Chitrakoot. He paid tribute to his legacy on death
anniversary by stressing his rural self-sufficiency ideas and tremendous
contributions to rural development, education, and healthcare. According to
Yogi, Nanaji Deshmukh is one of those persons whose lives have a lasting
influence, not only for a few years, but for centuries, and such people try to
alter the age. He also emphasized Nanaji's involvement in education, notably in
building the first Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Gorakhpur, which is now one of
thousands of institutions across the country teaching students about education
and values. Nanaji's commitment to cultural nationalism persisted throughout
his life.
Yogi
Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, routinely pays praise to
Nanaji Deshmukh, referring to him as a Rashtra Rishi and a
visionary for rural development. Yogi has continued Deshmukh's memory by
initiating initiatives like as a park in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar
Colony to commemorate the Bharat Ratna recipient. Yogi Adityanath emphasizes
Deshmukh's selflessness and his journey from Ramodaya (personal
growth) to Rashtrodaya (national development). Yogi Adityanath has
ordered the construction of parks and sculptures to commemorate Deshmukh's
achievements to Uttar Pradesh. Both leaders are committed to Bharatiya Jana
Sangh values, which prioritize Indian culture, self-reliance (Swadeshi), and
grassroots development.
In
a post on X, he stated, “Humble tribute to founding member of Jan Sangh,
national sage, 'Bharat Ratna' Nanaji Deshmukh on his death anniversary. By
making Antyodaya and Gramodaya the resolution of life, the indelible tradition
of service, sacrifice and nation building that he established will always
continue to guide us all.”
