
Mumbai, 27 Feb (HS): Three people died as their car
hit a stationary pick-up van near Pune district’s Indapur, on Pune-Solapur
Highway. The accident occurred on Thursday night. Three others who received
injuries have been admitted to a hospital in the region.
According to Police Inspector Vinod Mahangade, a
pick-up van was stopped on a side on the Pune-Solapur Highway after detecting
punctured tyre. Meanwhile, a car carrying six people lost control and hit the
stationary van.
The deceased have been identified as Aditi Amar
Hatekar (25), Sakhubai Ishwar Gejge (60), and Jay Amar Hatekar (2). The car
driver Kabirdas Ishwar Gejge (50), Swati Kabordas Gejge (34), and Samruddhi
Kabirdas Gejge (10) received injuries. The condition of Kabirdas is stated to
be critical.
On getting the information Bhigwan Police Station
team rushed to accident site and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been referred
for the post-mortem
