Nagpur, 27 Feb (HS):

In a unique initiative to foster equality confidence and sportsmanship and

provide a platform for sports for the visually impaired with sighted ones, a ‘Special

Chess tournament for visually impaired and sighted players’ has been organised.

The chess tournament is being jointly organise by a social organisation

Ashadeep – Apang, Mahila-Bal Vikas Sanstha. The Chess Association and

Freemasons.

The tournament will

be inaugurated at 10 am on February 28 at V V Mirashi Hall of Vidarbha

Sanshodhan Mandal, Nagpur.

Dr Prtatima Shastri,

President of Ashadeep and Secretary Aparna Kulkarni have appealed to people to

attend and encourage the participants for promoting inclusive sports.
