New Delhi, 26 February (H.S.): On the death anniversary of legendary revolutionary and ardent nationalist thinker Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Ministers, and state leaders paid heartfelt homage, hailing him as an unparalleled warrior of India's freedom struggle.

Speaker Om Birla bowed to Swatantravira Savarkar as a great revolutionary who devoted his all to the independence movement.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah stated Savarkar ranked among those heroes who battled British rule for both political and cultural emancipation. He credited Savarkar's revolutionary ideas with providing ideological foundation to the freedom struggle, inspiring youth through daring exploits from India to England.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari saluted the confluence of fervent patriotism and matchless talent on this remembrance day.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described Savarkar's indomitable courage, unique sacrifice, and unwavering national devotion as a glorious chapter in the independence saga, with his fiery thoughts still motivating millions.
