Mumbai, 23 Feb (HS):

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has requested Union Home Miniter

Amit Shah to initiate CBI enquiry in the death of DCM Ajit Pawar along with

four others in a plane crash in Baramati on January 28. Fadnavis said that the

demand has been made to clear all doubts being raised about Pawar’s death and

the plane crash.

Fadnavis informed the

media that Amit Shah has confirmed receipt of his letter. The enquiry through

the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and State CID is in progress.

Amit Shah has been requested to initiate CIB enquiry simultaneously.

DGCA is carrying out

audit inspection of the VCR Company, whose aircraft crashed. The company’s log

book is being examined to clear the doubts raised about the Pilot and Co-pilot

of the ill-fated aircraft. Before coming to any conclusion we will have to wait

for the enquiry report.
