New Delhi, 21 February (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) condemned the Indian Youth Congress activists' demonstration at the AI Summit in Bharat Mandapam as a crime against the nation, accusing Congress of turning anti-PM opposition into outright anti-national behavior.

Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, addressing reporters at BJP headquarters on Saturday, denounced the protest as reprehensible—not a mere mistake but a direct assault on national interests. He criticized Congress leaders for justifying it as youth anger instead of apologizing, branding their attempt to defame India on the global stage as shameful.

Rijiju stated that while Congress may critique BJP, it must acknowledge the world's praise for India's progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership—even French President Emmanuel Macron highlighted the digital leap from scant transactions a decade ago to ubiquitous UPI use by street vendors. He questioned when Rahul Gandhi would act prudently, noting he urged Congress leaders to counsel him, as public outrage mirrors BJP's across the nation; the AI Summit symbolizes national pride, not party politics, yet eludes Rahul's grasp.

Rijiju termed the episode deeply embarrassing, insisting politics must yield to national interest; Congress's electoral frustration now manifests as anti-national conduct. Congratulating PM Modi for orchestrating the grand summit—hailed worldwide—he urged Congress to cease undermining achievements in AI, technology, startups, and digital revolution that the global community applauds.
