New Delhi, 21 February (H.S.): Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw condemned the Indian Youth Congress activists' demonstration during the AI Summit as shameful on Saturday.

Speaking to media personnel on Saturday, Vaishnaw described the Friday protest at the Delhi event—where Youth Congress workers removed their T-shirts emblazoned with slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi—as utterly deplorable. He lamented that while the world expresses faith in India's technological progress, such actions regrettably damage the nation's image, branding Congress's politics as anti-youth and obstructive to emerging technologies and initiatives.

The disruption occurred amid the high-profile AI Summit, prompting swift police action that detained the protesters. Vaishnaw's remarks underscore Congress's alleged discomfort with India's successful global showcases in innovation.
