Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Friday during the India AI Impact Summit.The leaders deliberated on the United Nations' pivotal role in rendering artificial intelligence (AI) inclusive and accessible to all.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated via an X post that the meeting covered UN initiatives aimed at making AI beneficial and reachable for everyone. Prime Minister Modi highlighted India's human-centric AI development efforts, which incorporate Global South priorities, emphasizing the necessity of reforms to sustain the relevance of global institutions.

In his own X post, the Prime Minister noted that the conversation with Guterres focused on strategies to make AI truly inclusive and the UN's constructive contributions therein. India endorses all endeavors harnessing AI for planetary betterment. The dialogue also addressed UN reforms, particularly amplifying the Global South's voice.
