
New Delhi, 20 February (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with His Serene Highness Prince Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein, on Friday on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. At the invitation of Prime Minister Modi, Prince Alois visited India specifically to participate in the summit, held from February 18-20 at Bharat Mandapam.
The two leaders reaffirmed the cordial and friendly bilateral relations between India and Liechtenstein, welcoming the entry into force of the India-TEPA Free Trade Agreement in October 2025. They expressed confidence that this pact will inject fresh momentum into economic collaboration, facilitating $100 billion in investments into India over the next 15 years.
Both sides agreed to intensify cooperation, particularly in high-value manufacturing, advanced technologies, and innovation-driven sectors, building on the TEPA framework.This engagement signifies a pivotal advancement in fortifying the India-Liechtenstein partnership, underscoring their mutual resolve to foster expansive, beneficial collaboration across diverse domains.
