
Guwahati, 16 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday inaugurated the new Secretariat building of the Assam Legislative Assembly and launched a state-of-the-art digital museum along with an AI-powered platform titled “AI for Legislative Intelligence System of Assam” (ALISA-AI).
The newly constructed multi-storey Secretariat building is expected to strengthen the Assembly’s infrastructure and enhance administrative efficiency. Equipped with modern facilities, the building aims to streamline legislative functioning and provide improved working conditions for members and officials.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled ALISA, an AI-driven digital platform designed to provide quick and seamless access to nearly a century of legislative records in Assamese, Bodo, Hindi and English. The initiative seeks to modernise legislative research and make archival data more accessible to lawmakers, government officials and researchers.
A digital museum showcasing Assam’s democratic journey was also inaugurated. The museum highlights the pivotal role played by the Assembly in shaping the state’s political, social and cultural landscape over the decades.---------
