
New Delhi, 15 February (H.S.): The Delhi Traffic Police has released a detailed traffic advisory in preparation for the AI Impact Summit-2026, scheduled from February 16 to 20 in the national capital. According to the traffic police, the summit will take place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, and will feature heads of state, government leaders, ministers, delegates, and chiefs of international organizations from various countries.
In view of this high-profile event, extensive traffic restrictions will be enforced across New Delhi district and adjoining areas to ensure security while facilitating public movement as smoothly as possible. Essential services and medical emergency vehicles will receive uninterrupted priority at all times.
Traffic control will be in place on major routes from February 16 to 20, and commuters are advised to avoid: Mathura Road (from Subramaniam Bharti Marg T-Point to Lodhi Road Flyover), Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Teen Murti Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Sardar Patel Marg, Janpath, Feroz Shah Road, Shanti Path, Saty Marg, Africa Avenue (from Bhikaji Kama to Yashwant Place), Kamal Ataturk Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, C-Hexagon, Dr. Zakir Husain Marg, Sikandar Road, Ashoka Road, Prithviraj Road, Kautilya Marg, Purana Qila Road, Sher Shah Suri Marg, Tilak Marg, Bhagwan Das Road, Central Spine Road, North Access Road, Ring Road (from Brar Square to AIIMS), Cariappa Marg (up to Kirbi Place), Lodhi Road, Neelgumbad, Kartavya Path, Rafi Marg, Connaught Place Outer Circle, Parliament Street, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Aurobindo Marg (beyond AIIMS U-turn), Tughlak Road, Safdarjung Road, Panchkuian Road (from Mandir Marg T-Point to Connaught Place), Ulan Bator Marg, Dwarka Link Road, AFS Palam Road, Thimayya Road, Parade Road, NH-48 (from Rangpuri to Dhaula Kuan), Rao Tula Ram Marg, Panchsheel Marg, San Martin Marg, Nyaya Marg, Brigadier Hoshiyar Marg, and others.
General vehicles will be completely barred from Bhairon Marg (except Ring Road T-Point) and Mathura Road (from Subramaniam Bharti Marg T-Point to Dr. DND Dalmiya Chowk) during route movements of VVIPs.
Arrangements for Outbound Vehicles
Non-destination vehicles will be mandatorily diverted to alternative routes, including the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways, and will not be permitted entry into Delhi.
Suggested Routes to Railway Stations
For New Delhi Railway Station: ISBT Kashmiri Gate–Boulevard Road–Rani Jhansi Marg–DBG Road; Ashram Chowk–Ring Road–Rajghat–JLN Marg; Vande Mataram Marg–Dr. Ambedkar Marg–Panchkuian Road–Connaught Place Outer Circle.
For Old Delhi Railway Station: ISBT–Ring Road–Hanuman Mandir–SP Mukherjee Marg; Ashram–Ring Road–Rajghat–Hanuman Mandir–SP Mukherjee Marg.
For Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station: AIIMS–Ring Road–Ashram–Mathura Road; ISBT–Ring Road–Rajghat–Ashram–Mathura Road.
Airport Travel Guidelines
Passengers are urged to maximize use of the metro service. For those using roads, separate alternative routes from Gurugram, Dwarka, West, North, and East Delhi have been designated, including NH-48, UER-2 (newly operational tunnel), Rao Gajraj Singh Marg, Rao Tula Ram Marg, Panka Road, and Sector-22 Dwarka Road.
Bus, Metro, and Taxi Arrangements
Buses will be diverted as needed during VVIP movements. Metro services will operate normally at all stations. Autos and taxis will only be allowed to park at designated locations.
Special Provisions for Board Exam Schools
With board examinations commencing on February 17, ten schools on VVIP routes—including Atal Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Navayug Senior Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, and Guru Harkrishan Public School—have been identified. Traffic police have deployed nodal officers and outlined alternative routes, with details shared with the education department and school administrations.

Park vehicles only at designated spots.
Utilize public transport maximally.
Allow ample time for travel to airports, railway stations, and bus terminals.
Report any suspicious objects or persons to police immediately.
