Gorakhpur,

15 Feb (HS): On Sunday, RSS president Mohan Bhagwat stated that India is a

global center of benevolence and social peace, claiming that the country's

civilizational ethos is based on a sense of oneness and mutual belonging rather

than transactional connections. Addressing

a 'Samajik Sadbhav' (social harmony) conference organized by RSS Goraksh

province at Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium in Taramandal to commemorate the

organization's centennial year, Bhagwat stated that society is characterized by

interconnection rather than self-interest.

In

many nations, relationships are viewed as transactions. He stated that in our

country, human interactions are built on a sense of belonging. India is

regarded as a global hub of benevolence and social peace. He said that the

country's civilisational ethos is based on a sense of oneness and mutual

belonging rather than transactional connections.

Highlighting

India's variety, Bhagwat stated that contrasts in rituals, clothes, and

traditions do not generate splits due to the underlying cultural oneness. We

regard Bharat to be our mother. Every person possesses the same heavenly

awareness. That relationship holds us together despite our different identities,

he remarked. He went on to say that social peace, rather than law enforcement,

is what keeps civilization going. When asked about the RSS's 100th anniversary,

Bhagwat stated that it was a time for reflection rather than celebration. He

advocated for two to three block-level gatherings each year to enhance social

cohesiveness and urged communities to work for Hindu society as a whole,

regardless of caste. The society must act on its own. The Sangh would assist,

but duty rests with society, he stated. “India has always offered assistance to

other countries in times of crises without ulterior motivations,” he added. Representatives

from several communities expressed their opinions during the gathering. Bhagwat

eventually joined them for a community feast.
