Islamabad, 15 February (H.S.): Pakistan's Field Marshal, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir held discussions on Saturday with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Germany, focusing on regional and global security dynamics as well as counterterrorism strategies, during the 62nd Munich Security Conference.

According to a Geo News report citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conversation also covered matters of mutual interest between the two sides. Munir undertook the visit to Germany from February 12 to 14 specifically to participate in the conference, where he additionally engaged with military officials from Germany, Brazil, and Lebanon on promoting global peace.

During the trip, Pakistan's top military officer met with Germany's Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, Chancellor’s security advisor Günter Sauter, and Chief of Defence General Carsten Breuer.
